Biography
The Reverend Addison Pope was raised near Toledo, Ohio, and earned a BA in History from the University of Findlay in 2017. During his undergraduate years, he began studying theology and was disappointed with the shallow and liberal nature of the contemporary American Christianity of his upbringing. This period of study led him to the truth that the Lutheran Confessions are a faithful exposition of God's Word, in continuity with historic orthodox Christianity. He joined a Missouri Synod congregation in Findlay, Ohio. He entered Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne in 2020 and completed his vicarage at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Highland, Indiana in 2023. He accepted the call to become Pastor of Our Savior Lutheran Church in November of 2024, and was ordained and installed on February 9, 2025. Pastor Pope lives near Cabot with his wife, Madelaine, their two young sons, William and Philip, and a German Shorthaired Pointer named Jameson. In his free time Pastor Pope enjoys reading old books, going on family hiking trips, and listening to classical music.
