What are the Lutheran Confessions?
Martin Luther was a German theologian who founded the Lutheran denomination in the 1500s. But what does the Lutheran religion teach and believe? Luther wrote the foundational doctrine for the church through pieces such as the Confessions. Understanding the confessions as a Lutheran or non-Lutheran can be challenging. This booklet will introduce the confessions, explain what they are, and why they are needed.
